Not since the Battle of Saratoga have there been so many fireworks in the skies over Saratoga Springs.

Or maybe not, since the Battle of Saratoga took place east of the city.

Perhaps we should call them the fireworks that almost weren’t, since they were cancelled and then brought back through the generosity of several local benefactors.

Or maybe we’ll just call them spectacular, and leave it at that.

And one of the best places to see the fireworks turns out to be one of the newest – from the top of the Woodlawn parking garage. The mood was festive, and the sightlines perfect.

All in all, it was a great way to bring in the New Year in Saratoga.
