The Liberty League has presented honors to seven Skidmore College student-athletes for their performances during the past week.
In field hockey, freshman Dani DeGregory was named Rookie of the Week for the third straight week after a 2-0 week for No. 13 Skidmore. DeGregory collected a goal and three assists in an 8-1 win over Hartwick and came back with a goal in a win over Geneseo. Senior Ceilidh MacNeill was named to the weekly honor roll after putting up three goals and an assist. The Thoroughbreds finished the regular season at 13-4 and face Rochester in the Liberty League semifinals Thursday.
Women's swimming and diving swept the weekly awards. Catherine King was named Swimmer of the Week, Kristen Stearns earned Diver of the Week, while Yookee Roh was tabbed Rookie of the Week. King was a double-winner against St. Lawrence and picked up four wins at Potsdam including three individual victories. Stearns was first in the 1-meter and 3-meter dives at both meets while Roh had five first place finishes and one second place finish on the weekend.
Jacob Nathan was named men's Diver of the Week after strong performances over the weekend. The sophomore placed first in the 1-meter and 3-meter dives at both meets, helping the Thoroughbreds to a split in two meets. Men's and women's swimming and diving returns to action on Saturday at Vassar.
Corinne Palmer is volleyball Performer of the Week for the second straight week and fourth time this season. Palmer was named to the Skidmore Invitational All-Tournament team after leading Skidmore to a 3-1 week. Palmer averaged 4.86 kills and 1.07 blocks per set, including a 30 kill performance in a 3-1 win over Union. The Thoroughbreds (25-6) host the Liberty League tournament Friday and Saturday.
